What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy, it is about using art to express and process your thoughts, feelings and experience when words don't come easily.
It is a safe place where you can come and play with art materials, reflect on images you created alongside with an art therapist and have some time with yourself.
You do not need to be good at art!
Skill is not required, you are not judged by what you make or say.
Art therapy can support people of all ages and at all stages of life!!

Session is flexible and tailor according to your preference and needs!

What can Art Therapy offer...

A safe space
Explore and process difficult emotions, thoughts and make sense of our experiences.

New perspective, gain self-awareness
Understand our thoughts and feelings better and also allows others to understand what we are trying to communicate.

Empowerment, articulate identity
Have a choice of their own and will always be right and original.

Create sense of safety and security
Build self-compassion and gain a sense of self-worth.

Build coping skill
We can find new ways of looking at problem and find creative solutions.
There are no restrictions to creativity and no “right way” to make an art therapy drawing. If the expression conveys the client’s meaning it is “right”. The client is always free to change the “rules” and reinterpret the directive. —Riley, S. (1999). Contemporary art therapy with adolescents. Jessica Kingsley. p.38-39
Meet Ann
I am a licensed Art Psychotherapist currently based in Chester, UK.
My passion in art and working with people had led me into becoming an art psychotherapist. I was drawn to the power of art and how it can help communication, facilitate a deeper understanding of ourselves and healing.
My therapeutic style is rooted in the belief that everyone should be valued, understood and treated with respect. I aim to offer a safe space so we can work together to find creative ways to support you.
