My value

I am a friendly and warm person. I strongly value treating everyone with respect and equality, regardless of age, gender, background, or past experiences. My passion lies in supporting individuals and promoting their mental health so they can thrive and become their authentic selves. I was drawn to art therapy because of its power to aid communication and healing, especially when words cannot fully express our feelings, emotions, or thoughts.

My Experience

I have one year experience delivering art psychotherapy services in a mainstream high school, supporting young people with diverse needs, including adverse childhood experiences, SEND needs, risk of exclusion, and anxiety. I provided both individual and group art psychotherapy sessions, and running weekly open studio group to promote well-being. I worked independently throughout the therapeutic process, from accepting referrals and assessing needs to implementing treatment plans, and report write-up.
I also have experience working in healthcare sectors for more than three years, specifically in the fields of cancer, hospice and mental health care prior my training becoming an art therapist.

My therapeutic approach

I prioritise a client-centred and psychodynamic approach. Depending on each individual’s needs, I integrate various techniques, including mindfulness, body-mind connection, and trauma-informed care. I adapt the use of diverse art media to suit the unique needs and interests of each client. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can express themselves freely through art, gain self-awareness and self-acceptance, have an enjoyable experience, and take away tools to support their continued growth.

Training and Credentials

I completed my MA in Art Therapy at the University of Chester in 2024. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and upholds both organisations code of ethics. I also have enhanced DBS check and Civil liability insurance for all clinical work.
